Head of Marketing Innovation

We are seeking a Head of Marketing Innovation to lead the B2C marketing function. The role is responsible for defining and executing the marketing strategy focused on learner acquisition, engagement, retention and monetisation.

This is a senior leadership position requiring both strategic capability and operational execution. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Product, Publishing, Data and Commercial teams to optimise the full learner lifecycle, and have direct reports within Marketing and Platform. They will have full responsibility to deliver the B2C revenue target.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement the B2C marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives
  • Define target learner segments and positioning
  • Establish channel strategy and budget allocation
  • Set KPIs and performance metrics across the marketing funnel

 

Acquisition & Performance Marketing

  • Oversee digital acquisition across SEO, paid media and emerging channels
  • Monitor and optimise CAC, LTV, retention and conversion rates
  • Manage performance budgets and ROI reporting

 

Lifecycle & Engagement

  • Improve onboarding, activation and learner engagement
  • Collaborate with Product on conversion rate optimisation initiatives

 

Brand & Messaging

  • Refine brand positioning and value proposition
  • Ensure consistency across all marketing communications

 

Platform

  • Oversee the refinement of our B2C platform to ensure ease of navigation
  • Optimise all areas of our B2C site to improve key retention and conversion metrics

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the marketing team
  • Define clear ownership and accountability within the function
  • Foster a data-driven and commercially focused culture

 

Experience & Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior marketing experience
  • Experience in B2C SaaS, marketplace platforms, EdTech or high-volume digital businesses
  • Strong background in performance marketing and digital acquisition
  • Demonstrated experience managing acquisition budgets and delivering measurable growth
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in funnel optimisation and cohort analysis
  • Commercial mindset with understanding of unit economics
