Alison.com, the Galway-headquartered online education firm that claims 50m learners in 193 countries, has appointed former Fine Gael minister of state Ciarán Cannon, as its new vice president of global affairs. Mr Cannon was a junior minister for foreign affairs from 2017 to 2020 and a minister of state at the Department of Education from 2011 to 2014.
