Here at VIEW FROM NEWSPAPERS we have seen the skills training courses offered via our digital service, which we now call VIEW NEWS, take off in popularity amongst our readership. This was particularly so during the recent covid pandemic, with job insecurities and enforced isolation.

We are keen to continue to promote a culture of learning, particularly in those communities and towns that have historically been served by our local news brands over very many years.

As trusted publishers we are well aware that digital platforms and social media now far exceed the reach of print. We also realise that digital brings with it a wide range of exciting possiblities that can benefit local people, places and businesses.

Helping others to raise their employment chances, study new subjects and increase their access to information and knowledge, is all part and parcel of what most independent newspaper publishers have been doing for generations.

We believe that utilising digital technology to expand this capability is only a good thing.

VIEW NEWS have partnered with Alison to provide a portfolio of online courses in different topics and categories relevant to your focus. Please follow the steps below to become a member of this page and learn to earn certificates!

1. Register by clicking the green button and sign-up for a free Alison learning account.

2. Once registration is complete, enrol into the course by clicking on it.

3. You may enrol in as few or as many courses as you are interested in and begin learning.

This is a self-paced online learning platform - you learn at your own pace without deadlines, picking up where you last signed-off. Although you need an 80% to pass course assessment, you can repeat as many times as necessary to become an Alison graduate.
