Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Design and implement a global public relations and communications strategy aligned with Alison’s mission and growth trajectory.
 - Create country-specific messaging tailored to local cultural, educational, and media landscapes.
 
Media & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and manage relationships with major global and regional media outlets, journalists, influencers, and institutional communications teams.
 - Secure high-impact coverage through proactive media outreach, press releases, interviews, features, and thought leadership.
 
Brand Storytelling & Thought Leadership
- Lead global storytelling efforts, positioning Alison and its leadership — especially the CEO — as voices of authority on education, skills development, and global empowerment.
 - Highlight learner success stories, platform milestones, and policy impact across global platforms and campaigns.
 
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Alison’s marketing, product, and partnerships teams to integrate PR into campaign planning and delivery.
 - Support regional teams and partners with PR guidance and local media engagement.
 
Reputation & Crisis Management
- Safeguard and strengthen Alison’s brand reputation worldwide.
 - Anticipate and manage sensitive communications and issues related to education, privacy, inclusion, and platform use.
 
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 8–10+ years of progressive leadership in public relations, communications, or marketing with a global or multi-regional focus.
 - Demonstrated success in building awareness for mission-driven or education-based platforms, NGOs, or digital social enterprises.
 - Experience engaging with high-level media, government agencies, and institutional stakeholders.
 
Skills & Attributes
- Outstanding communicator with the ability to craft compelling narratives across diverse audiences and platforms.
 - Strategic thinker with the energy and initiative to build a global PR function from the ground up.
 - Globally minded and culturally intelligent, with an understanding of media dynamics in key emerging and developed markets.
 - Self-starter comfortable working remotely in a fast-moving, purpose-driven team environment.
 
Desirable
- Familiarity with global education trends, digital learning platforms, or LMS solutions.
 - Background in media strategy for social impact, digital literacy, workforce development, or open-source advocacy.
 - Experience managing CEO visibility, high-level speaking engagements, or editorial calendars.
