Mohammad Zamani is one of the academic staff of the Department of Clinical Sciences of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, working as a clinical...Mohammad Zamani is one of the academic staff of the Department of Clinical Sciences of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, working as a clinical pathologist and clinical bioinformatics. He grew up in one of the low-income provinces of Iran. Then, in 2008, he obtained his DVM degree (Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine) and then in the same year, he started the PhD in Clinical Pathology at the University of Tehran. During his PhD, he worked on a variety of cancers (particularly breast cancer) using genetics and bioinformatics approaches. After graduating from the University of Tehran in 2013, he worked as an assistant professor (2013-2018) and then as an associate professor (2018 to present) at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman.

Dr. Mohammad Zamani is an expert in bioinformatics, pathology and data science. During more than ten years of academic work experience, he has mainly worked on cancer bioinformatics. He has majorly studied and researched cancer of blood origin using different genetic and computational (bioinformatics) methods. In addition, he has great passion and expertise in data science and programming skills. As a graduate data scientist from the Dataquest community, he is proficient in Linux, SQL, Python, and R programming.

According to the demand, Dr. Mohammad Zamani can provide various services based on the request. He can work as a bioinformatician and data scientist in academic/commercial projects. He has supervised several theses in various branches of bioinformatics and pathology, the findings of which have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Due to his good background in statistics, he works as a statistical instructor in various scientific projects. Besides bioinformatics, he has been working for 10 years as the supervisor of the clinical laboratory in the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman.
