Dashama: the Alison Publisher helping you heal
Since 2005, Dashama has produced hundreds of videos and multiple bestselling online courses, serving the growing demand for high quality educational material in meditation, yoga, health and wellness. Dashama spoke to us about overcoming challenges, learning to heal and sharing taking control of your own wellbeing.
15 years ago I started my path as a happiness expert teaching yoga and meditation, as well as holistic lifestyle practices including detox diets and healing methods. I was an athlete most of my life before this, so health has always been an interest, but I had also suffered from many health challenges, such as a thyroid disease in high school, immune issues, addictions with alcohol and other unhealthy habits. When I was 18 I was hit by a car while I was riding my bicycle and the impact caused scoliosis of my spine. The doctors said there was nothing I could do to heal it but when I learned about a yoga teacher who had healed her own spine, it gave me hope and I dedicated my life to this path. Not only did I heal my spine, my addictions, and my heart from a broken childhood, soon my teaching spread rapidly and I went on to help millions of others heal their lives through my online videos and teaching worldwide.
I was always interested in health and wellness. When I learned that we can heal ourselves, that was what really inspired me to dive into this field and learn everything I could. I was focused on healing myself and learning in the process. I studied relentlessly, traveling the world learning from masters and healers, shaman and experts. My hard work and dedication paid off since I am so passionate about spreading the power of this message so that others may also awaken, heal, evolve and ascend to new levels of living, free from pain. I have written several books, produced online courses and thousands of videos, and have even spoken at the United Nations for International Day of Happiness.
Alison is a great company – the people are very kind and professional, and you can reach a new audience. Over 10 years ago the team at Alison contacted me to put my 30 day yoga challenge on the website as a course. It was hosted on YouTube originally and I was happy to spread the magic to new audiences. That programme on Alison reached over 65,000 learners very quickly and has impacted many lives.
Many people are looking for online learning and Alison offers free courses for those seeking a certificate or diploma who can’t afford to pay. I like how it’s inclusive and also there’s room for the learner to grow to new levels. We are in talks to create a mindfulness course for Alison that would be a diploma course released in the future, which I feel will impact many people in a positive way.
My 30 day yoga challenge is the main course I have on Alison. I created the first ever online yoga challenge back in 2008. It went viral and reached millions of people world wide. Alison and I partnered to offer the course to their learners.
Start with courses that you find interesting and discover what you are passionate about. Focus on your passions since that is what will lead you to your destiny and purpose in life.
I am creating a new brand called The Flow State and we are developing courses for this, to teach people who to get into the flow state of consciousness. This is a state connected to source energy, that is highly creative, limitless and filled with passion and enthusiasm. This is the field of pure potential and is something I am highly passionate about teaching. The Flow State of humanity is directly affecting the flow state of the planet. Everything is interconnected, we are all one, this is the most important teaching on earth at this time. Once people can understand this message, we can heal the climate crisis and begin to restore the balance and harmony back to planet earth. This is my mission in life.
