Our English Vertical consists of a collection of beginner, intermediate and advanced courses and is designed to be easy to use and accessible to students with even a basic knowledge of the world’s most widely used language.
The vertical is a valuable resource for ESL teachers and independent learners and has been created by someone who knows exactly what they need: Justine Dalke, Alison’s English Language manager. Justine is a fully qualified and highly experienced teacher, who has taught students in countries like Japan, Ukraine, and Brazil, amongst many others. Her expertise includes teaching business English, test preparation, and English grammar.
“We are delighted to launch our English Vertical and look forward to lots of positive feedback from ESL teachers and students,” said Justine. “Our courses are unique in that they offer free, structured learning, aligned with standardised tests.”
A fun, interactive test helps learners ascertain what level of English they are currently at and which course they should begin with. They are guided towards one of four levels - Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. Each level has 10-12 courses packed with useful and engaging content. A handy guide enables learners to gauge their progress against international standards. By taking these courses, learners can prepare for exams such as CEFT and IELTS if they seek work opportunities, TOEFL for English in an academic setting, and TOEIC for work and everyday English.
Thanks to Alison, thousands of learners from South Africa to Saudi Arabia and from the USA to the UK have already progressed up the English-speaking ladder. “It is a joy to help people accomplish their goals”, said Justine. “There are over 1.5 billion people learning English globally and our English Vertical is just what the world has been waiting for.
“Alison’s whole ethos is about empowering people through free education and skills training. I can’t think of a better way to do that than equipping them with the language and communication skills they need to fulfil their potential.”
