This initiative aims to help rehabilitate veterans back into the workforce by offering educational support to learn the necessary skills to do so. Serving your country comes with burdens such as social isolation and distance from traditional learning opportunities. This is leaving veterans with little ability to prepare for their return to civilian life during service. This can be seen by the alarming statistic that 44% of veterans who served in the past decade have struggled to readjust to life outside the military.

Veterans make up 9% of US citizens and 15% of the country’s homeless population. Alison is stepping up to address this issue by helping US veterans acquire new skills and knowledge through free online courses. Alison believes workplace training, new skills development and ongoing education are vital to a  successful transition from military to civilian life.
