Will Alison’s courses on ADHD qualify me to be a therapist or mental health practitioner?
Alison makes free courses available so anyone in the world can study almost anything they’re interested in. Our ADHD courses are designed to give you a better understanding of the condition, to learn about treatments and see what mechanisms could help manage your or others’ ADHD better. If you want to become a therapist or a psychologist, you need to research the requirements in your country. This likely means attending a university or college for a multi-year degree or qualification. You will probably also have to be registered and pass several exams.
Our courses are an excellent way to study ADHD informally without committing to an expensive degree. If you find you are truly interested in helping others with ADHD, you can then take your formal studies further. An Alison certification is not a medical qualification.
