Galway, 13 October 2020. Scholarship for Afghanistan, the non-profit organisation that gives youth access to quality education, and Alison, one of the world’s largest free learning platforms for education and skills training, have joined forces to provide free learning opportunities to students in Afghanistan.
Since 2014, Scholarship of Afghanistan has assisted nearly 100’000 youth and new generation Afghans find the best opportunities in their fields of education and professional careers. Through the organisation’s support and free-to-use services, the non-profit empowers its members to pursue career opportunities, secure scholarships, and further their education.
Due to the social and economic havoc wreaked by Covid-19 and the barriers to learning left in the wake of the Afganistan’s lockdown, Scholarship for Afghanistan has intensified its efforts to provide its members with a wider range of more specialised free online learning opportunities. It is for this reason that the two social-enterprises have combined forces.
Alison will provide up to 20’000 free Certificates to Scholarship for Afganistan to help its members to continue their education. Scholarship for Afghanistan Co-Founder, Assadullah Mohammadi says: “By partnering with Alison, we will be able to serve our members in a more specialised way. Having access to Alison’s thousands of free courses and a free certificate or diploma will enable our members to reach their full potential and create positive social and economic change in their communities, as well as the country.”
True to its mission, Scholarship for Afghanistan remains firmly committed to providing its members with unique and empowering learning opportunities and to help them gain access to online knowledge and skills training.
