Award-winning Flute Player

Brian O’Loughlin hails from Corofin, in north County Clare, an area known for its set dancing and teaches our free online tin whistle video courses. Like most flute players, he first learned to play the tin whistle as a young child before progressing to the flute at the age of 8.

Brian's natural ability and dedication have been rewarded with multiple awards in national Fleadh Cheoil competitions, both as a solo performer and as a member of the top ceili bands, the Inis Óg Céilí Band as a youth and more recently, the highly regarded Shandrum Ceili Band.

He has travelled across Europe performing and teaching and has recorded both with the Shandrum Ceili Band and as a trio with uilleann pipes player Tom Delany and guitarist Dessie Kelliher.
