The key points from this module are:
The 3 features of secure communication are:

Message privacy
Message Integrity
Message authenticity

The main objective of message privacy is the secrecy of the communication (the message cannot be public) while the main objective of message authenticity and integrity is the verification of the source and contents of the message. (the message can be made public)
Message Authentication Code is a collection of 3 algorithms, namely:

Key generation algorithm
Tag generation algorithm
Tag verification algorithm

Three approaches for converting a prefix-free secure pseudo-random function to a fully-secure pseudo-random function are:

Encrypted CBC
Deterministic prefix-free encoding
Randomized prefix-free encoding

Properties of an Abelian Group include:

Closure
Associativity
Existence of identity
Existence of inverse
Commutativity
