This course will help you to understand what emotional intelligence is all about and how you can build and develop your emotional intelligence at work, in social settings and at home.


This course is an introductory course to emotional intelligence, yet covers the construct in quite a lot of detail.


We look at what emotional intelligence is and we look at what emotional intelligence isn't. We explore some models and theories around emotional intelligence.
Emotional intelligence is the way that you combine your thinking with your feelings to make better quality decisions and to build authentic relationships.


Emotional intelligence is how to combine thinking with feelings in order to build quality relationships and to make good authentic decisions. You can earn how to develop your emotional intelligence and use these skills and abilities at work.
How to use your emotional intelligence more effectively to build more satisfying relationships and make better decisions to improve performance.
We look at how you can apply your emotional intelligence skills for a richer, fuller life.


The course is made up of a series of video lessons, some resources and a series of exercises that are in downloadable files that you can print off and work with away from the course.
If you're feeling stuck or feel something is missing in your life, and you want to grow in your career and become better at your personal and professional relationships then this course will help you.
The course is structured to cover emotional intelligence in detail to give you an understanding of emotional intelligence, how emotional intelligence is important in work, in social settings and at home, and how you can develop your emotional intelligence.

Within the course, we'll look at a number of important emotional intelligence models and we'll look at ways in which emotional intelligence can be measured.
Also, within this course, we'll look at what emotional intelligence is and what it's not.


We look at the importance of understanding the emotions that you experience.
We cover emotions in detail and we look at how emotions can be used better.


We cover the basic human emotions.


We'll look at gaining an understanding of how you react in situations with a particular focus on how your feelings and your emotions impact upon performance.


We'll explore ways of practising and learning emotional intelligence, with some hints and tips around how you can work better with emotional intelligence.


Finally, there are some resources that you can download and keep. The only way that you can develop emotional intelligence is by reflecting and taking some action and getting some feedback.
You won't be able to develop your emotional intelligence by going through a few online modules.  So, within the course there are some exercises for you to work on and these will give you some insights as to how you're currently using your emotional intelligence and how other people view your emotional intelligence. From this you can put together a plan to help you to develop your emotional intelligence.
