    In this section I learnt about the different alternative dispute resolution methods.negotiation,mediation,arbitration,uncommon methods od ADR,publicpolicy,legislation ADR. I Learnt that Negotiation is a method of alternative dispute resolution that retains power to resolve the dispute to the parties involved,It resolve dispute speedily.it is inexpensive.parties participate volunrarily. hower,there are no set rules,either pary can bargain badly or unethically if they coose to do so.no neutral party to ensure that rules are followed that the negotiation strategy is fair,also any party can decide to walk away whenever they wish.Partys may not have equal nargain power and theresno quaranty that the there will be resolution through this method T0 be a good negotiator, before the negotiation,talk first decide after.Think of the other persons o r peoples needs and desires,think about options and outcmes that address what both paties wants,think of what to do if you do not reach an agreement at the negotiation.Choose a ttime and place for the negotiation During the negotiation,you can be hard on the problem,talk about al the issues,be soft on the other person,focus on the issues in the disputeand not on the personality of the other party.Emphasise on the common ground that you share with the other people,it makes it easier to understand each other,avoid unfair tactics,communicate well with the other people Negotiation can be direct negotiation or and you can also have another personinvolved in the negotiation,who help run the negotiation but he must not take sides
