The project manager style changes with each phases of the project. The client should be surprised when the style changes from one that is open any new idea in the initiation phase to more orientated style during execution or demanding during closeout. Client participation in the project phase can have undue influence on decision but this offset by the buy in of the client. and the insight the client can offer when special knowledge is needed or schedule is needed to be changed.
The project management is about managing work processes and leading people . The technical skills of the project manager is the ability to organizes the project and develop a scope, budget, schedule which are so critical to executing a project to the finish on time within budget and to the project specifications. Otherwise the project will not succeed if the project stakeholders are unhappy. The project stakeholders must have hands in the project in-order for the project to succeed. The project manager ability is to understand the expectation of the project stakeholders and motivate them to make project succeeds . The expectation of the project stakeholders , clients and methods to motivate the clients to contribute to the project to succeeds .
The project success focuses on achieving the client satisfaction by meeting client expectation, meeting project goals and objectives ,project specification and clients expectations by discussing with the project leader teams to develop a formal project plan that track the life of the project.
The clients need to know more about what the team members does. An experienced project manager must understand the project phases and the requirement at different phases. For example during early phase, the project leadership is encourage to develop the creative approaches to meet the project goals such as the meeting agenda, the project planning phase and the executing plans.
In Most cases, during the last project phase, the project teams are always tired , the project leaders need to motivate the project teams by explaining to them what they should expect and planning with the clients for the success of the project by telling them about the project scope to the project manager and project teams. The advantage of including the clients in the project is that to gain the Clint's personal investment plan to create a better understanding of the client's problems. To gain the Clint's insight and contributions of the client's in problems solving. To gain the Clint's of the problems project encounter during project life cycle and the clients' special knowledge which add value to the project success especially in discussion and contribution ideas.
The client is an important project constituent and in most cases the most important constituent.. Project success often includes meeting project goals and specifications, and it also includes understanding and meeting the expectations of the client. that is how client is very important.
