Do mental health issues need to be more highly publicized to the public? If the public knows more about mental health issues and treatment, will they be more likely to feel more comfortable seeking help? Will it help people with mental illnesses be more accepted in society?

yep totally agree there is so much discrimination towards people with mental health, learning disability, disability in general, many people are ignorant through lack of understanding and since life has very significantly improved for my daughter with multi complex autism, mood disorder, learning disability since having correct educational provision and medication she has been able to access the community with support from carer which has been crucial to her development. she has enjoyed theme parks, walks, swimming, pantomimes, meals out etc. no need for exclusions if things are got right

Decreased quality of life is definitely a terrible result of a mental health diagnosis. On one end, the individual is getting assistance for their disorder or illness, however, the results could be a lack of acceptance by the general population and decreased income potential due to their inability to work after their diagnosis.

As I see it the two should come together and to help promote that if one of them are out of line it affects the other. someone who mite have a physical illness mite develop a mental illness and the other way around the two come hand to hand.. It's all about balance
