    past perfect tense: had+past participle for ex: when Sarah arrived at the party, Paul had already gone home. Past simple has 2 verbs: regular and irregular verbs. Regular verbs add - ed for ex; play-played, watch-watched. Irregular verb: see-saw, write-wrote. Past perfect continuous had been + Ving for ex; I was very tired when I got home. I had been working hard all day. Present perfect: I have already sent the letter for you.
