    Cleanliness of a food restaurant is essential to keep the customers coming. All cooking and serving utensils must always be kept clean. To ensure this is done frequently, a cleaning schedule must be drawn up and followed religiously.

    Salt and pepper shakers should be cleaned daily and washed once in a week to replace it fresh salt and peppers,sugars containers should be washed once in a week and replaced with fresh sugar,to see that the rest room are cleaned at the end of the day,tea cups and coffe cups should be soaked with a detergent and be washed everyday.

    door knobs cleaned and sanitized daily. Mirrors/windows cleaned and free of fingerprints. Kitchen utensils should be washed, rinsed and sanitized.

    Aplakah I. (Nigeria) Hotels serve accommodation and recreational facilities to a large number of people, and as such, the level of hygiene and cleanliness of such a facility speaks volumes which could either make or mar such a facility. It can not therefore, be overemphasized, the need to ensure hygienic and sanitary measures of the highest standard. An easy way of achieving this is having a schedule of people assigned specific duties and on specific days for efficiency and accountability. This can also be applied in homes and offices.

    These are things that we should do on a consistent basis. Great idea to have a workflow process in place to avoid contamination as much as possible. doors, knobs, windows, menus, oh and definitely having someone check on the bathrooms every hour. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to a restaurant and the menus were disgusting along with the restrooms. Places like that won't get my business.
