"A Must Have for Cancer Patients Are you aware that "real" vitamin E is really eight entities, not just one? " " It consists of four tocopherols (alpha, beta, delta, gamma) and four tocotrienols. "....extremely alarming is most researchers that study vitamin E only use "one" of the eight parts of the vitamin E." By Ronald Grisanti D.C., D.A.B.C.O., D.A.C.B.N., M.S.

The functions of two of the eight Vitamin Es (alpha/gamma tocopherol) have been researched & they're involved in wound healing, particularly recovery from inflammation & oxidative stress. Oxidants released as part of the immune response can react with lipids & be mutagenic, so Vitamin Es can help clear them away afterwards to prevent damage. This course says the function is not known, stick to that if it's in the test!
