When you apply both theories you basically are able to merge your prior information with the new, and then you interpret, assimilate, organize and apply the newly acquired knowledge.

Teachers should have different approach to teaching. Teaching should be engaging, time bound and varied. Also, teachers should know that learning is not the same for every child.

The Psychological Constructivism is focused in internal cognitive construction (the internal action forces with their schemata) and the Social Constructivism is focused in external cognitive construction (the social pressure for learn using the more experienced people from the culture: parents, teachers, friends etc.) One comes from the internal way (mind) [Psychological Constructivism] to the social environment and another [Social Constructivism] come from the social environment to the mind (internal world). Summarizing, the two ones works with the idea that the learning is made through educational attitudes from meaningful and experienced people who help the learners constructing theirs new knowledgies. Jean Piaget, is one representative of Psychological Constructivism and his theory say: the child (and everybody, after a crises period when a new information is showed) has one stage called “assimilation” and another called “accommodation” and on final one called “equilibrium” or a new knowledge, when a new schemed cognitive is formed in the mind. Lev Vigotski, is one representative of Social Constructivism ad his theory say: the social environment is responsible for a large education of the people, it means that the influence of society over the child development is extremely important. Your most important theory is the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) which says: there is on proximal zone in the mind which has conditions to understand and accumulate new information and new understandings forming new knowleagies. In general I say: “We are Psycho-Social creatures, so we need cognitive, emotional and social resources”. Then, both Psychological and Social Constructivism has contributions for the Sciences and the society. (But, I love Jean Piaget).
