    On completion of this module I will be able to define blood and be able to list and describe briefly the components of blood , I should be able to list the steps in response to haemorrhage and distinguish between the whole blood and plasma transfusions . I will also understand the reason why it is important for donors and recipients to be matched and I will under stand the role of blood regarding temperature control.

    At the end of this module I will be able to define blood and list the components of blood, I will also understand the function of blood and be able to list the steps in response to haemorrhage. I will have learnt how to distinguish between whole blood and plasma transfusions and recognise why blood donors and recipients must be matched , I will also understand the role of blood in temperature control.

    I have little knowledge of the make up of blood and its functions, after reading the Learner outcomes I am sure that the knowledge gained at the end of this module will be a great help for me in my present role of emergency care assistant with the east midlands ambulance service.
