    close ended funds are the funds in which mutual fund company pre decides the total amount of investment and in which securities,that is the reason close ended funds always open for some time period say from 1st november to 22nd november.After that noone can buy it.The redemption in these funds are on specific date.before the maturity investors cannot redeemed the funds but if they want there money back,they can sell it to other party,,,means they can trade.

    In close ended fund shares are fixed or limited. Investors can not redeem there share prior the maturity time. If investors need there money back they have to sell it to the other investor
