    Listening you would think comes automatically to people ,but it doesn't it's a learned skill.A very good example was given in the presentation how a negotiation was turned around due to one woman on the city council who listened more than the colleague who didn't.

    Listening attentively and carefully gives you a valuable insight into the other party's point of view. It may shed light on something that you have not already thought of or considered and it may enable you to express your points in a way that aligns with their viewpoint. When the other party is confident that you are listening to them and valuing what they have to say, even if you don't agree with it, they are more likely to listen to and value your viewpoint, in return.

    Communication and Negotiation does not imply merely listening, talking and hearing, Its much more, It requires convincing the other side that you can hear them and understand their point of view while treating them with respect and being able to negotiate with integrity and honesty
