Easy E Moderate Mod Difficult D Very Difficult VDiff Severe S Very Severe VS Hard Very Severe HVS Extremely Severe XS Numerical - this applies to the actual technical difficulty of the climb and the strenuousness of a pitch. 1a, b or c 2a, b or c 3a, b or c, etc.
