Different activities seem to attract different types of people, and each activity has its own stereotype. It is important to understand that each activity gives the participant a different type of experience. For example, skydiving would be designed to give a different adventure experience to a weekend of tramping through New Zealand. In order to understand each adventure and compare it with other activities, one must get to the essence of the activity. You need to explore your own experiences and compare them with each other. An example might be looking at the different elements of a nature trail and a paddle down the Goulburn River (grade 2/3). What would you gain from each activity, how would you feel in each activity and what are the fundamental differences of the activities?

Adventurous activities are:- Each adventure is a mix of the elements and characteristics of adventure. It is interesting not only to compare each activity, but also the variation within the one activity. For example, climbing is an activity that has a huge scope for variation and range of difficulty. From climbing in the local climbing gym to climbing the Trango wall in Pakistan, we can see that by changing the elements and characteristics of adventure we change the adventure. It is important to understand that each activity gives the participant a different type of experience. For example, skydiving would be designed to give a different adventure experience to a weekend of tramping through New Zealand. In order to understand each adventure and compare it with other activities, one must get to the essence of the activity.
