Verifying the simplification using substitution - examples
Sometimes we cannot always use algebra blocks to represent each term.
Another method of verifying that the expressions mean the same or are
equivalent is to choose any value for the variables. Since the expressions
are equivalent then no matter what value you choose for the variables the
two sides of the equivalence should give the same value.
