Advanced Mathematics - Original and antiderivative functions

Original and antiderivative functions

The original graph f(x) is the gradient [1] function of the antiderivative
F(x).

* where f(x) crosses the x axis the gradient of F(x) will be zero, which
gives the location of any stationary points.

* where f(x) is negative (below the x axis) F(x) will have a negative
gradient.

* where f(x) is positive (above the x axis) F(x) will have a positive
gradient.
