Family size cumulative frequency
People who accumulate friends (or money) just keep adding more and more.
They add the new on to the old to obtain a running total.
We do the same in statistics to find cumulative frequency. Each data value
has a cumulative frequency. It is the total of the frequencies for all
values up to, and including, that value.
Cumulative frequency answers such questions as:
* How many students up to the age of 15 at a school? Count all 12, 13, 14
and 15 year olds
* How many cars with up to 3 people on the freeway? Count all cars with 1
or 2 or 3 people
* How many ice cream brands sell for up to $1.50? Count all brands that
sell for $1.50 or less.
