Interpreting seasonal indices
From the previous example, the seasonal index for Q1 (1.15 or 115%)
indicates that sales for that quarter are 15% _above_ expectations based on
the average for the year.
Similarly, the seasonal index for Q2 (0.87 or 87%) indicates that sales
for quarter 2 are 13% (i.e.100% - 87%) _below_ expectations based on the
average.
