Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are our major source of energy.
Athletes often 'carbo-load' before an event by eating large amounts of
foods that are high in carbohydrates. This gives the athletes lots of
energy to use during their race or game.
Foods like cereal, pasta, rice, honey and bread are great sources of
carbohydrate.
