Biology - Sexual reproduction
results in the formation of a new individual by the fusion of two sex
cells called gametes. Most animals reproduce in this way.
In flowering plants, the gamete in the pollen grain fuses with an egg
in the ovule. The resultant zygote divides eventually forming a seed
that can grow into a mature plant.
