Can a living thing be reclassified later in life to be non living if it no longer meets certain characteristic(s) of a living thing? e.g. a person born able to reproduce and he/she is rendered unable to do so, due to an accident - being it mechanical or medical? Scenario Two - a person born crippled, such that he/she is unable to walk on his/her own, but meets the other characteristics of a living thing - how this person classified? I do not think this description (characteristics) of a living thing is entirely correct.
