Parallel circuits: worked example 1
The diagram shows a series circuit in which two globes of unknown
resistance are connected to a 24volt battery. It is known that one globe
has three times the resistance of the other.
* Calculate the voltage across each globe
* Find the value of R.
Therefore globe 1 has a resistance of 36 ohms and globe 2 has a resistance
of 12 ohms.
