There are many examples of conflict in the community, every day there are
issues reported in the press. Try to collect newspaper articles that
discuss issues of conflict. Some contemporary issues include:
* the development of Wilson's Promontory
* the development of a toxic waste dump at Werribee
* the development of a mine at Kakadu
* Mt. Hotham Ski development
* Grand Prix race track at Albert Park
* logging in the Otways and Gippsland
* recycling in the community
* Australia's greenhouse gas emissions.
You need to research and collect examples of conflict to gain a better
unerstanding of the processes involved in resolving difficult issues of
land use.
