Course Information
This course explains the basic computer terminology associated with the
Internet and the World Wide Web. It describes the various communication
tools that the Internet provides and the methods for accessing information
on the World Wide Web. This course also explains the concept of e-commerce.

Audience Description
This course is intended for anyone who wants to acquire digital literacy
skills.
Prerequisites
Students should have basic reading and comprehension skills at the level
required to read a local newspaper. Students should have taken the first
course on Computer Basics, or have equivalent computer skills.
Course Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to understand basic
Internet and World Wide Web terminology, browse the World Wide Web for
information, and perform transactions over the Internet.
