Biology - Unicellular organisms have to eat too

Unicellular organisms have to eat too

A dinoflagellate. This organism is green like a plant because it has
chloroplasts. Photosynthesis takes place inside the chloroplasts.

Some unicellular organisms are predators [1] or parasites. [2] They eat
other organisms to get nutrients and energy.

Other unicellular organisms are more like plants. They can use sunlight to
make sugars using a process called photosynthesis. [3]

An amoeba. This organism preys on other unicellular organisms for food.
