Unicellular organisms have to eat too
A dinoflagellate. This organism is green like a plant because it has
chloroplasts. Photosynthesis takes place inside the chloroplasts.
Some unicellular organisms are predators [1] or parasites. [2] They eat
other organisms to get nutrients and energy.
Other unicellular organisms are more like plants. They can use sunlight to
make sugars using a process called photosynthesis. [3]
An amoeba. This organism preys on other unicellular organisms for food.
