• Set up categories such as electronics, self-help, and jewelry among others.

• Set up your shipping methods such as a physical store, by ground or air.
• Set up promotions such as coupon
• Set up Google Analytics to allow you to view how many visitors you are getting on your website.

Another key important thing to consider when setting up your online store is how you are going to accept payments from online transactions and also fulfill the customer's orders; these are some of the following ways to do that:
• Set up Paypal but you may struggle to set it up if you are outside the US.
• Accept cash on delivery. For example, In Middle East, an Aramex driver can collect the products from you, deliver them to the customer, and then he will collect money from the customer.
• Accept bank transfers where you will avail the customers of your bank details. You can also set up a merchant account to accept credit and visa cards.
• Accept Mpesa or other local payment methods
• Team up with local delivery partners such as FedEx, DHL, and others where they will collect the items, ship them and give you a tracking number.
• Outsource your fulfillment. For example, fulfillment by Amazon whereby Amazon stores the products for you, pack and ship it.
