Automation: The word "Automation" has its origin from Greek. The basic root is Automatos and the meaning of the word is acting by itself. The system which is 'acting by itself' is called an automated system. Manufacturing: Manufacturing is the production of goods through the use of labor, machines, tools, and chemical or biological processing or formulation. Production System: It refers to the collection of the people, equipment and the procedures which are required to perform the manufacturing operations.
