You will find that not every look works for every client. Use the following tips as a guide, but create the look for your client that makes them look the best. If you are not quite sure which way to go with makeup for your client, find out where your client is going. Get to know their personality and try to find out what colours work for them. They can give you clues as to which colors they normally use. Use this as a base and go from there. When you are designing daytime looks, you need to make sure you are choosing lighter and warmer colours. During the day, you don’t want to look like you have any makeup on at all. The dewy look is great for daytime indoor or outdoors. When you are applying makeup for night time, you can get a little deeper with the colours and styles. It's okay to use darker eyeshadows and create the smokey eye look. These looks work well for night time activities. Here, you can practice your techniques of contouring and creating depth in the face and around the eyes. There are many times when you will be asked to create a look for a special event. If you are dealing with a wedding, you will need to work with dresses. If you are doing a photo shoot, concentrate on getting a matte finish.
