 Manisha S. 0 0 That was ok.
Amy N. 1 0 Can anyone help me understand how to work out the second half of the question.
Steffa F. 0 0 confused idk what i just learnt had to do other research elsewhere to get it
Georgina O. 0 0 ok so how did you get those signs and 56?
 Iris Y. 0 0 O.O i don't get the 56 part.....
David W. 2 0 I can't see much point in the tutor providing an unexplained formula, then saying she looked up the answer in an unspecified book! However, I did manage to arrive at the answer 56 with the help of Google. Here's how: Another way of writing her formula (that works on my screen) is C(n,r), which denotes the r-combination of n objects. C(n,r) = n!/(r!(n-r)!) (trust me!) So, if n=8 and r=5, we have: C(8,5) = 8!/(5!(8-5)!) = 40320/720 = 56 (QED). But I'm not sure why the tutor didn't explain that.
Jodie L. 0 0 I am having problems trying to find where the module even is??
Steven T. 0 0 if this is the basic course i dread to think what's in store for the next level. just throwing a number out of an unspecified book doesn't teach anything, just serves to confuse. how can you find an understandable explanation to get to 56.
Steven T. 0 0 https://youtu.be/Rpb8KD1HQGc how it comes to 56 credit to john redden
Bret I. 0 0 Worst explanation ever for the second part. By the way I saw someone posting on here that 8 X 5 = 56...it doesn't it equals 40.
