    Having interests outside of work is a good idea to prevent and relieve burnout. When you have something else to think about that is not the same thing that is causing you the stress, then you will be able to 'leave work at work' and think/talk about other things.

    Many workers have signs and symtoms of burnout that are ignored. If we can better self monitor we will be alert to the signs. Most importantly we nee to practice prevention - through outside hobbies, social activities, nature, recharging our batteries, setting realistic goals and taking vacations.
