The beginning and ending inventories are determined by taking a complete physical count at each year-end. Purchases are recorded in a Purchases account, and no entries are made to record the cost of individual sales transactions. Instead, the cost of goods sold is determined at year-end by a computation such as the following (dollar amounts are provided only for purposes of example): The amounts of inventory and the cost of goods sold are recorded in the accounting records during the year-end closing procedures.

in slide number 13, the general entry for Transportation-In charges may be wrongly posted against cash paid. Herein, Transportation-in charges are credited and cash id debited. How can it be so? It is out of my sense.

Transportation-In charges is indicated as (-SE), not (+SE). Journal entries on Slide # 13 are out of sense. Please explain.

in slide # 16, when seller receives the reimbursement of Freight-in charges (paid previously on behalf of buyer) from the Buyer, how can he (the seller) would debit the Delivery Expense Account? While in past he paid cash and now He is getting the money back. Instead Cash account must be debited in Seller's books. Is it right?
