    The idea that as the student progresses they can be encouraged to self-reflect, thus having some control over the whole learning experience seems good to me.

    Are both strategies of merit regarding all students? Would experts involved in each subject, be more effective if they be more welcome and be more involved in school settings? Could this be achieved by teachers inviting experts to online fora/conferencing for pupils during class?

    Teachers have to prepare their classes selecting and devising the activities that are better developed to the students. And the use of Bloom's taxonomy to develop this activities is higly recommended. The students will self-assess and self-reflect about their learning with experience and teachers' guidance. I have a doubt: all the students will be able to become metacogitively active?
