This module teaches you about the various types of heat exchangers and compressors used on board. You will discuss the basic principles of heat exchange describing fluid flow arrangements and constructional features of tube shell and plate types of heat exchangers, together with principles of compression cycles. You will also study the heat exchanger maintenance and marine instruments used in the control-air installation.
