hey everyone its Farah from zoom here Ithought I would record a brief video onhow to manage participants when you'rein a meeting or virtual classroomsetting one thing I want to note is thatby default zoom will recognize theactive speaker if you have other membersof the audience that a mute themselveslike Robert for example if you were tosay hello hello zoom will automaticallydetect his audio and flip the camerabetween his camera and mine now if youare in a virtual meeting with teammatesexternal candidates or even in a class Iwould highly recommend leveraging ourgallery view feature which is up in theupper right hand corner this will allowyou to see everyone that's connected inthe meeting you'll be able to see up to49 participants on one screen if you'dlike to see all 49 participants justmake sure you tick the box one time wewill remember this setting for thefuture it's the up arrow next to yourcamera head over to video settings andthis will give you the ability todisplay up to 49 videos on one screen sothat's the first step it's reallyhelpful to see everyone's facecommunication is 60% body language sobeing able to see everyone within themeeting will allow you to gauge whetherthey have questions whether they'reconfused or whether they're completelynot paying attention at all the otherkey button you'll want to pay attentionto is our manage participants buttonalong the bottom toolbar you'll see wehave four connections in this meetingwhen I click the box I get a pop-upwindow on the right-hand side now if youare the host of the meeting you willhave managed participants if you arejoining the meeting that is the hostyou'll still have a participants buttonto break this out to see who who elsehas joined the host of the session willalways be listed at the top that so thatpeople can easily find the host if theyhave questions and then everyone elsethat is joined will alphabetically belisted now if Bobby words to unmutehimself again and we were getting anysort of background noise he would at heor anyone that's unmuted will always goto the top of the list so that you asthe host can easily identify where thenoise is coming from and click me at allor click mute ratherwe do have an emergency knew all buttonat the bottom of the screen which youcan find here you'll even have theability to remove permission for folksto unmute themselves if you'd likecouple other neat features that arebuilt right in if I hover over any ofour participants Katherine for example Ican give a more drop-down to chat withcat Katherine directly stop her video ifthere's anything distracting happeningin the background it's important to notethat you will never ever be able tostart anyone's video without theirpermission so keep that in mind and ifKatherine were a guest speakerI could spotlight her video as well sothat the video would remain fixed foreveryone in the audience to see evenwhile others were talking thanks forbeing a good sport with that KatherineI'm gonna cancel the spotlight here nowsome of you may have noticed that clockswent up by Carly and Katherine's name wedo have an attention tracker featurethat allows you to tell when people haveleft the zoom window while your screensharing and this is a setting you'llneed to turn on I will show you whereyou can do that before the end of thevideo but this also helps you keep trackof who in your audience is payingattention it's great to get thatfeedback from the audience in case youneed to slow down or pause and see ifanyone in the audience has questions wecan see Carly returned to the zoomwindow and so that clock has now goneaway we also have the ability I shouldmention here that you can make peoplethe host of the session or co-hostgiving them some of your settings youcan give people permission to recordthat is a host only setting by defaultand if you really needed to you couldremove someone from the session as wellalong the bottom we have some additionaloptions here you can mute participantsupon entry to help minimize thatbackground noise and another one that Ireally like is the play enter in exitchimes so I always know when people areleaving or joining the session I'veadded a nonverbal feedback setting andthis is where my participants can sayyes no go faster go slower or use themoreoptions to give a thumbs-up thumbs-downor an applause we just have a coffee cupso that folks can tell me if they needto step away from their desk and you cansee the nonverbal feedback popping uphere Carly gave a guess this is reallyhelpful if you do have a very largeaudience where you do need to keeppeople muted so they can still give youfeedback and reactions as the host whenI'm ready I can clear all of thesesettings as well now if you join as aparticipant you can click on thatparticipants button to find thesenonverbal feedback and options andthere's even an option for you to raiseyour hands if you have a question let'stake a second to just go over to the webportal so that everyone will be able tofind where they can see these featureson their own in their own portal you'llwant to log in to zoom dot us andnavigate over to settings and within thesettings portal you'll see shortcuts tobasic and advanced in meeting settingswe happen to the basic settings this iswhere you can see things like enter andexit chimes are enabled and if we scrolldown towards the
