What is the difference between a credit card and a debit card? A credit card account is buy now, pay later with a certain amount of interest against the principal; for the privilege of borrowing the money when you don't have it. A debit card is basically, buy now- pay now, as it is funded via a checking or savings account and directly affects your available monies.
