    someone had mentioned something to the affect that the parents should have discovered, or one would hope that they had. Unfortunately, if there are absentee parents or both parents work to make ends meet, these things may go unnoticed. The child learns well how to adapt or hide the issue. recording classroom lectures so the student can review later is helpful. If able to obtain amplification headphones these too can help. We have stethoscopes with amplifiers on them. Use visual cues often, many hand outs.
