    why does the Chinese government have to buy dollars with the new yuan that they print?

    the yuan was a fixed exchange because the Chinese government wanted to have an easy trade between most countries that uses the dollar as a means of exchange when exporting and importing good.the Chinese pegged the yuan to stabilize their currency .
