Jury system: definition Trial by jury is a method of trial whereby an independent body of peers hears evidence in a legal dispute and gives a verdict on the basis of that evidence. Trial by jury is about attempting to remove the stigma's and prejudices that could affect the outcome. The theory is all the jurors should monitor one another and try to provide a balance between them to effect justice.
