Economic situation

Avoid making suggestions that are likely to be unrealistic financially.
You can usually gain some idea of the financial situation of your
individual by the type of foods being consumed. If much of the food has
been bought at fast food restaurants or is purchased ready prepared, there
would appear to be adequate money to make reasonable changes.

Avoid suggesting, for example, that to increase variety in the diet, an
elderly man should buy ready-made frozen meals every day and heat them in a
microwave. If he has sufficient money he could use these occasionally for
variety.
